Football

     As time went on and players got bigger, faster, and stronger, the need for revised rules and eqipment was vital in the safety of athletes. An increasing injury rate lead to new and very protective eqipment that is still being used today. Player safety has always been a top concern of the league executives, as it should. Although football is a violent sport, their efforts to keep athletes safe has been key in the survival of this game. The eqipment is being changed every year and new technology is always being discovered. 

     The style of football has also came a long way from the day it was first introduced. Today, we see teams who like to get out and run with their offense. This offense is called the spread. It is designed to get defenses on their heels and drive them backwards with speed. The quarterbacks of this day and age are much more mobile and better overall athletes. They are no longer pocket passers and often times, the quarterback is the most athletic player on the field.

     The NFL is also a multi-billion dollar coorperation, which is good for our economy. As is stands right now, each team in the NFL is worth around 2 billion dollars. The Dallas Cowboys are the most valuble team at 4 billion dollars. These teams are especailly good for the states they reside in, and even better for the country, overall.
